Food & Beverage Server

Major Outcome:

  • Provide exceptional guest service as part of our Food & Beverage team while working alongside an exceptional hospitality team and developing service skills that go above and beyond the rest.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
  • Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
  • Provide personal recognition to restaurant / bar patrons, acknowledging return guests, using guest names, pacing meals according to expectations and ensuring guest satisfaction with the dining experience.
  • Operate and adjust heat, air conditioning, lighting, sound system etc… as needed and applicable to your work area.
  • Act as a sales agent, using your up-selling skills and be well versed in our menus, knowledgeable in foods and wine.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by communicating to kitchen personnel the pacing expectations of the guest, specific variations to menu items and through monitoring food quality and communicating inconsistencies.
  • Prepare accurate cash out deposits.
  • Maintain a cash float, take payments from customers and make change.
  • Deliver any invoices daily to appropriate location in accounting office.
  • Bus, clean, re-set tables, clean menus and condiment dispensers, polish glassware and cutlery, clean workstations, service equipment and storage areas;
  • Provide service of the appropriate style, dependant on the meal period, size of party and menu style.
  • Keep up to date on changing menu items and prices. Be open to learning about customer service through peer mentoring, supervisory coaching, independent learning and participation in workplace training.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
