The area around Mill River Resort offers a number of off-site activities, including all those found along the North Cape Coastal Drive. Close by, you can spend the day on a beach; visit the North Cape Wind Farm for a photo op; go deep sea fishing and enjoy fresh, local shellfish; cycle, run or walk a section of the Confederation Trail; and visit a museum or artisan and craft gallery.

Lighthouses are plentiful in the area, with Northport Back Range Light, Tignish Run Lighthouse, North Cape Lighthouse, Howard’s Cove/Seal Point Lighthouse, and West Point Lighthouse in the region. Of course, on PEI everything is close by, with the diminutive cities of Summerside and Charlottetown and the opportunities they offer easy to reach, but also just far enough away to escape from it all.
