Mill River Resort Vision

To develop the Mill River Property, to be a Centre of Excellence for tourism, recreation and wellness in West Prince.


Major Outcome:

  • Provide exceptional guest service as part of the Recreation Center team by providing timely and professional service to all guests.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity;
  • Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner;
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives;
  • Wipe down fitness center machines ;
  • Remove towels, trash, and debris from fitness center and pool areas; 
  • Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area;
  • Operate and adjust heat, air conditioning, lighting, sound system etc… as needed and applicable to your work area;
  • Clean fitness and pool area, restrooms and showers;
  • Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures; 
  • Distribute lockers and towels to guests;
  • Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform manager of low supply items;
  • Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities; 
  • Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests; 
  • Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members;
  • Process memberships, rentals and daily/season passes for aquaplex and winter activities;
  • Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services;
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications;
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; 
  • Complete safety training and certifications;
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects);
  • Maintain all safety certification required;
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualification & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • Previous experience considered an asset;
  • WHMIS/First Aid training considered an asset;
  • Ability to multi-task and organize time effectively and efficiently;
  • Ability to communicate effectively ;
  • Customer service focused;
  • Ability to adapt to change, think on your feet ;
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure;
  • Strong team player;
  • Be trustworthy and reliable;
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle, lift and move objects up to 20lbs over short distances;
  • Flexible availability for days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
