Rate of Pay: $16 – $18/hr

 

Mill River Resort Vision

To develop the Mill River Property, to be a Centre of Excellence for tourism, recreation, and wellness in West Prince.

 

Major Outcome:

  • Provide exceptional guest service as part of the Property Maintenance team by maintaining the greens and surrounding areas.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity;
  • Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner;
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives;
  • Operating equipment safely while golfers present and monitoring health, safety and security in the workplace;
  • Lead a quality maintenance program by reporting any signs of disease, insect or turf damage to supervisor.
  • Operate all types of equipment such as tractors, turf vac, hand mowers, turf mowers, trimmers, back pack blowers, chain saw, hand roto tillers, utility carts and various hand tools;
  • Operate mowers on slopes or uneven terrain;
  • Mow fairways, greens, tees, park, resort & roughs with hand and mobile units;
  • Participate in building, property maintenance and special projects on the entire property;
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained at all times: refill fuel and oil daily, clean equipment daily and report all problems or failures to the Equipment Manager immediately.
  • Report suspicion of equipment misuse to supervisor immediately;
  • Complete basic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent;
  • Return all equipment to the designated area;
  • Operation of automatic irrigation controller to deal with dry spots, frost etc…
  • Manual labour such as shoveling, raking, carrying etc…
  • Perform course set up (tees and Cups) for tournament and regular play;
  • Assist Horticultural or forestry programs on the property;
  • Hand water designated areas;
  • Complete safety training and certifications;
  • Take initiative to identify and complete all needed repairs;
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
